Dr. Bateman attended The University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba for both his medical school training and cardiaolgy esidency. Dr. Bateman completed his cardiology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA in 1982.

Dr. Bateman is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspeciality in Cardiovascular Disease.
